Again, I had tons of fun talking about "Aarow on the Doorpost" with Host Chris Hardwick and the other guests Keegan-Michael Key and Lauren Cohan. Watch The Walking Dead if you wanna know the story of a group of survivors living in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse!!! It's freakin' awesome.

I am slowly overcoming my fear of public speaking. I know I know, this might sound weird because I am an actress, but there is something about slipping into a role that is so much less scary than talking to large groups of people about things that matter to me.
I'm glad to be facing this fear because my Mom, Judy, and I were invited by an old friend, Marci McPhee, to give the Keynote address at DEIS Impact!, a "festival of social justice" thrown by The International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life and the Student Union at Brandeis. We spoke about THRIVEGulu, the not-for-profit organization that my Mom created in 2010 to assist the communities of Northern Uganda to heal from the traumatic events of war, sexual enslavement, extreme poverty and lost opportunities.
Many thanks to Marci, Brandeis University, Momma Judy and all those who came out to participate. I believe in this work and have seen first-hand what it can do!

It was an honor to sit down with Albanian Journalist Blendi Fevziu on KLAN TV's talk show OPINION to discuss my heritage and Dear Albania, the documentary I shot with my brother Nate, Fadil Berisha, and Blerim Destani. Check out the live interview below. And for those of you who would like to read the transcript rather than listen to an interview in English translated into Albanian, follow this link to the blogspot of Albert Vataj. Thanks for the great coverage Albert. This documentary means so much to me. Updates coming soon on the progress of our edit. We are hoping it will be not much more than 1 or 2 months until completion!
